Dopamine boxes are a powerful training device to add to your toolbox, designed to build on resilience, confidence, focus and calmness.
Once you have taught your dog to complete the task (maintaining the position of keeping their head inside the box), you can add things happening around them, such as novel sounds. The task helps them keep focus, and the environment fades into the background.
Each box is handmade to order from recovered and repurposed timber by a regional craftsman. As such, with the timber showing unique signs of its life journey, the appearance of the boxes may differ slightly from the sample in the photograph. Designed with handcrafted handles, an oversized base and 4 rubber non-slip feet to enhance manoeuvrability and stability our boxes are stained to produce a dark shade interior to help block out visual distractions, creating a 'safe-cave' feel and reduce external over-stimulation. Boxes are finished with a pet-safe varnish.
The optional inclusion of a customised light shade wooden plaque with your dog's picture and/or name on adds a personal flair! Please send a high quality image (PNG file) of your dog to emma@priestlandsdogs.uk once ordered.
Boxes are made to order, ready for local delivery or collection from Penn Street - within 3 weeks of ordering.
